Registered Nurse Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

All Positions at Preventive Medicine:

Physician

The Physician is expected to demonstrate mastery in both the traditional and holistic aspects of medicine. This position requires a current medical license to practice in the state of Missouri. Superior written and verbal communication skills are required.

Medical Receptionist

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for assisting the office manager implement business procedures at Preventive Medicine. The Medical Receptionist performs general office tasks, and assists in accounting, billing, collections, inventory- control, and maintenance of medical records. The Medical receptionist manages patient flow, schedules appointments, does phone triage, confirms appointments, does correspondence, and patient checkouts. Certification as an administrative medical assistant is preferred but not required. Typing and data is entry required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and data base software is a plus. We are looking for excellent office and communication skills.

Medical Clinical Assistant

The Medical Clinical Assistant is responsible for both front and back office operations. Clinical functions include, but not limited to, blood draws, ECG, injections, UA, vitals, assisting the doctor, etc. Front operations include, but are not limited to, phone triage, prescription refills, call- backs, checkouts, confirming appointments, correspondence, pulling faxes and labs, routine cleaning and sanitization, ordering office supplies, stocking product, etc. The Medical Assistant is cross-trained in all areas of the office. Medical Assistant Certification is required. Typing and data entry required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and data base software is a plus. We are looking for excellent office and communication skills.

Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse is responsible for running the IV unit. Running the IV unit includes, but is not limited to; mixing bags, starting IV’s, DC’ing, monitoring drip rates, IV pushes, perform vitals, blood draws, UA and other medical procedures. Administrative duties in the IV unit include preparing charts, recording and monitoring lab values, scheduling appointments and performing duties required by the Trial to Access Chelation Therapy Study. Understanding front office operations is also a requirement. Order lab supplies and maintain IV supplies. Patient education and triaging is also a function of the RN. This position requires a current Missouri RN license. IV certification is also required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and database software is a plus. We are looking for excellent office and communication skills.

Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant operates under the direction of the physician and is expected to see patients independently. A current nurse practitioner’s license for the state of Missouri is required. IV certification/skills is considered a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and data base software is also a plus. We are looking for excellent office and communication skills.

Office Manager

The office manager reports to the general manager and is responsible for the daily operations of the clinic. Superior written and oral communication skills are a must for this position. This person serves as a resource to advance company objectives and execute special projects. The office manage performs highly diversified tasking and must be self-motivated, organized, flexible and able to work with a diverse group of people. This position is expected to gather data, use good judgment, define any problems or concerns, and assist in recommending a solution. This position handles confidential matters and deals with highly sensitive information on a regular basis. The office manager must demonstrate professionalism, use time management, organizational management, and excellent office management skills. This person performs other related duties as required in the absence of other personnel.
